Pumpkin Wars

So, I just created this blog, and I don't really know what to write about. The title "City Lights" is from one of my favorite movies, and the address "R is for Rocket" is one of my favorite stories by Ray Bradbury. I just got back from the grocery store and 7-11 (late-night slurpees are awesome), and now I have to to stay up for who knows how long writing about all the media I've seen for the past month or so (it's for a class).

I suppose one of the funnest things I can write for now is the ongoing Pumpkin Wars taking place in my apartment complex. We are doing a game--each apartment was given a small pumpkin, and we were supposed to hide it somewhere in the living room or the kitchen. The point of the game is to sneak around to other apartments, stealing their pumpkins and hiding it in your own apartment. All in all, there's about 37 pumpkins.

Then things started getting interesting--we had about ten pumpkins, and then we got raided...they all ended up getting stolen, and in an effort to get them back, a wrestling match broke out in a neighboring apartment. My brother was wrestling two people, trying to get into their hiding spot, while three people were picking me up and throwing me out the door. We figured it was time to stop after the biting started (and after I got my head slammed in the door frame...).

Anyway, we were able to get some of our pumpkins back (and then some), but the apartment we raided didn't found out their pumpkins were missing for two days...so they have no clue it was us, and now everybody thinks we only have one pumpkin (we actually have eleven...but by the time anybody actually reads this, the game will be over, and we'll be safe from any pumpkin raids). Good times...good times...
